Sonic Librarian is a music library house in Los Angeles, CA., catering to Hollywood film studios and major networks. At first they just wanted a redesign that could show off the latest spots using their music, spotlight a composer and a section to showoff their latest music offerings would be a great place to start.
Once we got going, a music search solution was proposed and became a larger custom project entailing a lot of PHP, MySQL and AJAX. But first, we had to figure out the process of wading through 1000’s of music files and designing an efficient categorizing system for the end user. There was a lot of planning, thinking, formatting, testing, categorizing, mis-spellings, and more planning and thinking. It was nuts!
