Dave Dahl is somewhat of a legend in the Portland, OR area. After serving hard time (aka prison), he got out, turned his life around, went back to work for his brother in the family bakery business- Nature Bake, created some great bread recipes and ended up with a whole new line of bread, Dave’s Killer Bread.. and a whole new life.

“Killer” Dave (no, he never killed anyone) had tried to get his story told through video but even after working many different producers, he felt those efforts just didn’t tell the whole story or represent him accurately.
When I was in visiting Portland, one morning for breakfast I had some great bread and that is when I first heard of Dave’s Killer Bread. I read the story on the back of his bread and wanted to meet him about some promotional opportunities I thought work for him.
Within a few days, Dave and I met. He wasn’t interested in the promo opportunities at the time but he ended up telling me about this video that he had just finished but unfortunately, he wasn’t very happy with it. I said “I think I can help. Send me a copy and I’ll do a sampling of what I can do.” I received the video, made various edits and cut together some rockin’ music from my own in-house music library (www.epicsoul.com). Remember, I’m a musician too.
Dave and his brother, Glenn, the company president, loved the sampling of what I had done and so we moved forward on re-shooting and producing a whole new inspirational/promotional video that tells the full Dave’s Killer Bread story in a way that suits Dave and the culture at their company.
The video has been quite successful and has surpassed their initial intentions. Here it is…

Great editing with a good eye for carrying a story from start to finish. I will have to try some bread soon…
